† Christine paced the deck of the ship, her amber orbs glued to the wooden floor beneath her and her hands tucked into the pockets of her black pants. Occasionally, she would glance up and look at the ocean that was everywhere around her. And every time she would look at the deep blue water, she would bite down gently on her lower lip in anticipation.
She didnt know where they were currently heading, for people some times forgot to tell her things. So what if she hadnt been one of the original members of the ship? So what if she had never actually met Captain Jack Sparrow? That didnt mean that people could forget to mention things to her.
Yes, she had heard all about Captain Jack Sparrow. She had heard about how he had sailed the seven seas, gone after the heart of Davy Jones, and then been eaten by the horrible creature known as the Kracken. She had always known that the Kracken was real. No, she wasnt one of those foolish people that wouldnt believe in it until they saw it for themselves.
She had witnessed the attacks of the creature. She had been present on one of the ships that it was destroying, and she had survived. She didnt know how or why she had survived, but she had. And she was thankful for it each and every day.
She walked towards the edge of the ship and leaned over the railing, her caramel-colored eyes scanning the ocean beneath her. She had always adored the water, for it gave her a sense of freedom. †

Elizabeth sigh and started walking on the boat. She had once again tried to explain what had happened on the Black Pearl when she kissed Jack. Will wouldn't hear of it, and was starting to ignore her.
So now, here she was, on a boat looking for Jack, hoping they would find him so the two of them could explain to Will what really happened.
She noticed a lone figure, leaning on the side of the ship. Elizabeth timidly walked up to the figure, and noticed it was a girl. The girl looked depressed, as though she didn't know why she was here.
Elizabeth leaned up against the ship beside her and said, "Hello."

† Even though Christine hadnt heard any approaching footsteps, she wasnt the least bit surprised or scared when leaned against the ship beside her and spoke to her. At the female's greeting, Christine turned her head so that she could look at her perfectly.
"Hello." she responded, with a slight nod of her head. She noticed that the girl looked a bit sad, and once again, Christine allowed her curiousity to get the best of her. She gently bit her lower lip before opening her mouth and speaking once again.
"Is everything all right?" she asked. For even if she didnt know this girl, she still wanted her to be happy. And if some thing was bothering her, Christine wished to know what it was. She turned her attention back to the ocean as she waited for Elizabeth to reply. Even though Christine had been on the ship for a few days, she still hadnt met everybody. Most of the time, she chose to keep to herself. †

"Is everything all right?"
Elizabeth looked at the girl, who had concern in her eyes. For some reason, she felt she could trust her with this information.
"Have you ever loved somebody so much, and then you turned around and did something stupid? And then the one you loved so much caught you and then wouldn't have anything to do with you? That's how I feel," Elizabeth said, looking up at Will, who was talking quietly with Barbossa.
"I know I shouldn't have done it, but it was either try or all of us die," she said softly.

† "I can't say that I have loved anyone. I don't believe in love. I believe that love is an excuse that people use when they feel lust for some one. It's an excuse to get what they want most." she said softly.
"But Barbossa has told me the story about how you kissed Jack and then handcuffed him to the ship. But you did the right thing. I would have done the same. And being the dense person that Captain Jack Sparrow is, he immediately fell for it. And if your beau can't understand that, then he is missing out on a wonderful woman."
Even though Christine didn't really know Elizabeth, she still considered her to be an extremely courageous person for the things that she had done in the past and the things that she was doing now.
"By the way, my name is Christine Bouvier." she said, extending her left hand to Elizabeth for a handshake. †

"Elizabeth Swann," she said, shaking the other's hand. "And thank you for understanding what I did. I just wish Will would," Elizabeth said, looking up at her fiance again.
"I mean, he doesn't understand it was just a trap. He thinks that it's real. I just wish there was a way to let him know it wasn't."

† Once they had finished shaking each other's hand, Christine replaced her hand in her pants pocket. "Pleasure to meet you, Elizabeth." she responded, before listening to the next few sentences that slipped through the girl's lips.
"And of course I understand what you did. I'm a female as well, after all. And Will will come around eventually. Is this one of the reasons that you want to rescue Captain Sparrow so badly?" she asked, perking her left eyebrow at Elizabeth. "I mean...so he can verify that the kiss meant nothing, that it was just a way for you to make sure that he stayed on the ship and gave you time to get away?" she asked. If Christine had been in this situation, she would have wanted to find Captain Sparrow for that reason, and that reason only. †

"That's what I'm hoping," Elizabeth said. "I mean, hopefully Jack will understand why I did, and so will my fiance," she sighed, "that is...if he'll still marry me," she finished.
That was one thing that worried her the most; Will not wanting to marry anymore. She thought the trap would have been smooth, and Will would have never seen it. But she wasn't as lucky.
First she didn't want to marry Norrington, and now Will probably wouldn't either.
"Maybe I'm just cursed. I can never seem to stop breaking guys hearts," Elizabeth said sadly.

† "I'm sorry to break it to you, but Jack probably won't tell Will what really happened. He'll say that you were attracted to him and that you always loved him, and he would use Will's heartbreak to his advantage. That's the kind of guy that Sparrow is. He uses everything and everyone to his advantage."
She sighed softly before continuing.
"And Will will still want to marry you. If he doesn't, then forget him. You can do better than Turner anyways."
She rolled her caramel-colored orbs when Elizabeth suggested that maybe she was cursed.
"You aren't cursed. It's life. Things like this are always going to happen and there is no way that you can take this back. So quit beating yourself up over this stupid little kiss that you shared with Jack." †

Elizabeth stared at the girl. Nobody had ever spoke to her before like that! In fact, Elizabeth wished people would talk like that, rather than try to sugar coat it and make it seem ok.
"You know, Christine, you're right!" Elizabeth said suddenly. "I shouldn't bring myself down to a low level just because a guy doesn't belive me! If William is the man I think he is, he'll put all of this behind him and still love me!" she said with a power in her voice she never had before.

† Christine grinned as she listened to the words that Elizabeth was speaking. She was happy that Elizabeth had listened to her and had followed her advice. After all, no guy was worth your tears. And when you found one that was, he would never make you cry. Too bad she didnt believe in that lovey-dovey crap. But it was okay that Elizabeth did.
"Of course I'm right." she responded, tilting her head to the side and crossing her arms over her chest triumphantly. She nodded her head when Elizabeth said that if he was the man that she thought he was then he would forgive her and still want to marry her. "Exactly." she replied, before tilting her head back up in the right position and looking at the ocean again. †

"You know, I think there is going to be a good friendship between us in the future," Elizabeth said, also looking out in the ocean. The moon was out bright, and it shone out on the water. That was when she saw something floating out in the middle water.
"Do you see that?" Elizabeth said, pointing out to the figure out in the ocean.

† "Yeah, I think so, too." she said. When Elizabeth asked her if she saw the figure in the water, Christine's dark eyebrows elevated to a new high on her naturally tanned forehead. She squinted her eyes in order to see what it was, and she grinned when she realized who it was.
"It's Captain Jack Sparrow!" she said, a hint of glee in her soft voice. She turned to Elizabeth, grabbed her by the shoulders, and shook her a little bit. "It's Jack!" she screamed. Wow, for some one that didnt much care for Sparrow, she sure was happy to see him. †

Post by Captain Jack Sparrow on Jul 13, 2006 18:35:58 GMT -5
Jack was getting tired of treading water by this point - even though he was an infamous pirate known for his prowess, no one's legs could withstand the torture he was going through. If it were up to him, he'd rather be stranded back on that cursed island that Barbossa had left him on with a pistol with a single shot. At least there had been rum. All there was out here was water...lots and lots of water. To take his mind off of the cramping in his leg muscles, Captain Sparrow had temporarily resorted to singing the song that had essentially become the trademark song for pirates everywhere. "...we're devils and black sheep and really bad eggs, drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!"
However, as his voice traveled along the breeze, he heard other voices, faint yet swiftly approaching. Could it be, someone come to save him? Turning around, he saw a ship nearing with two female figures standing aboard the deck. One of them, even from the distance, he recognized to be Elizabeth. So they had come to rescue him after all! "Glad to see ya, love!" he shouted, a toothy grin spreading to his handsome yet weather-worn features.

† She smiled when Jack shouted back at them and she waved. He probably wouldnt be able to see her waving because of how far away from each other they were. She turned around and ran across the ship to the other side, where one of the crew members were to make sure the ship went the right way.
"Keep going straight. Captain Jack Sparrow has been sighted." she said, before running back over to the other side where Elizabeth was still standing. "We'll be there in a moment!!" she yelled to him. She was finally going to be able to meet the infamous and notorious Captain Jack Sparrow. For even though she had sailed with many crews, she had never once met him. She had heard the stories about him and had always longed to meet him, even though she claimed that she despised him... †
